March 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join Charleston Waterkeeper and our partners at the South Carolina Aquarium, 5 Gyres Institute, Charleston Surfrider, and the Coastal Conservation League for a screening of A Plastic Ocean. The film will be followed by a solutions-oriented Q & A with a panel of local experts working to stop plastic pollution right here in your community. This thought-provoking evening will explore the global problem of plastic pollution, it’s origins in our community, and what you can do to help.
Tickets are a suggested $5 donation at the door. Space is limited so please RSVP today!
A special thank you to our sponsor Patrick Properties Hospitality Group for hosting us at The American Theater.
More from the Plastic Ocean Foundation:
In A Plastic Ocean, an international team of adventurers, researchers, and Ocean ambassadors go on a mission around the globe to uncover the shocking truth about what is truly lurking beneath the surface of our seemingly pristine ocean.
The results will astound viewers–just as it did our adventurers–who captured never-before-seen images of marine life, plastic pollution, and its ultimate consequences for human health.
During its four-year production period, A Plastic Ocean was filmed in 20 locations around the world in beautiful and chilling detail to document the global effects of plastic pollution–and introduce workable technology and policy solutions that can, if implemented in time, change things for the better.
