Boat Campaign Update!

Dear Friends, 

Thank you so much for supporting Charleston Waterkeeper’s campaign to secure a new boat!

I wanted you to be the first to know that we teamed up with our friends at Scout to build a new 195 Sportfish! The 195SF is an excellent platform for our work. It’s 19.5 feet long with a wide 8.6 foot beam making it easy to trailer and stable for our water quality testing work. Scout’s support even made it possible for us to add several key upgrades like a Yamaha F150XB, Garmin GPS/depth finder, and a t-top with an enclosure for foul weather. The 195SF will also allow us to efficiently cover your entire watershed in all weather conditions.  

On Monday I got a chance to tour the Scout factory in Summerville and see our 195SF on the production line! I included a few pictures below of the Scout team at work on our build. Scout has been a great partner throughout the build process. Their support, build quality, and commitment to our local community are second to none!
