EARLY BIRD TICKETS ARE ON SALE FOR CHARLESTON WATERKEEPER’S
FIRST ANNUAL RALLY FOR CLEAN WATER TRASH TOURNAMENT
(March 1, 2024) Charleston, SC – Improving the quality of the Lowcountry’s majestic waterways through science, stewardship, and advocacy, Charleston Waterkeeper has long been recognized as an environmental leader in protecting and restoring Charleston’s harbor, rivers, and creeks for future generations. Serving as the strong voice for Charleston’s waterways since 2009, the 501c3 organization looks to raise money and awareness this Spring while hosting their first annual trash tournament and weekend celebration of clean water.
RALLY FOR CLEAN WATER TRASH TOURNAMENT is set for May 17 – 19, 2024 and will be a gathering of waterway stewards, recreational boaters, philanthropists, surfers, anglers, area business leaders and an active, local audience deeply connected to and passionate about Charleston’s waterways! Rally for Clean Water is a family-friendly weekend celebration of Charleston’s harbor, creeks, and rivers with 100% of the proceeds going toward protecting and restoring your waterways for future generations.
Tournament goers are invited to a Captain’s Meeting and opening kick off party at Rivers & Glen Trading Co., a full day of outdoor fun and competition collecting debris, and a closing awards ceremony at The Porter Room at Holy City Brewing. Attendees will enjoy live music from Solid Country Gold, Southern Flavor Bluegrass Band and Bandito feat. Paul Puckett, vendors, food, drinks, giveaways, prizes, fly fishing demos and water quality demos! This year’s partners and musicians have a strong connection to your local waterways and are passionate about clean water today and every day for future generations!

The First Annual Rally for Clean Water Trash Tournament was born from this notion that organizing a strong community of committed waterway stewards results in lasting change for cleaner, healthier waterways, critical marsh habitat, rivers, creeks, and harbor for the next generation. The weekend will be full of community engagement, live music, cleanups, cold drinks, swimming, fishing, good food, crabbing, boating, celebration, awards, and hands on experiences that fosters a love of the water and a lifetime of stewardship. Let’s rally together and break some records for clean water!
