INTERVIEW WITH RHEOS
We caught up with, the Rheos team!
HP: Why do you choose to support Charleston Waterkeeper?
Rheos: At Rheos, we believe in “for the love of water,” which means doing our part to protect the waterways that make the Lowcountry special. Supporting Charleston Waterkeeper allows us to help preserve these vital ecosystems for future generations.
HP: What is your favorite way to enjoy clean water?
Rheos: Our favorite way to enjoy clean water is by getting out there and soaking it all in—whether it’s paddling through creeks, cruising on the open water, or just relaxing at the beach. Nothing beats the freedom and connection we feel when we’re on the water. It’s what inspires us every day at Rheos.
HP: What is your favorite waterway in Charleston?
Rheos: We’ve got a soft spot for the Cooper River. It’s perfect for everything from boating to taking in the views, and it’s also where our Coopers sunglasses get their name.
HP: Tell us about what you have been working on or a recent project
Rheos: For the past year, we’ve been all in on taking our sunglasses to the next level. The 2024 lineup isn’t just another collection—it’s a total product evolution. We’ve prioritized performance, comfort, and visibility while keeping our floating feature, ensuring our shades are ideal for life on the water. Every pair in our 2024 lineup and beyond will have optimized lens-to-frame proportions for a wider field of view, and we’ve fine-tuned our lens tints to ensure the perfect experience no matter the conditions.
HP: Tell us something interesting about yourself that we might not know
Rheos: Fun fact, Rheos means “river current” in Greek, reflecting our brand philosophy. Just like a river, we’re always flowing, evolving, and carving our own path. Our commitment to constant reinvention and improvement keeps us fresh and innovative in everything we do.
