Hi Everyone! Iām Eli and I am pretty much the most chill, laid back good boy there was. Life as a Labrador with my Dad could be a book entitled, āThe Adventures of Eli and Alexā! Weāve been the best of pals for most of my 13 years on this planet. Aside from the first few years of my life, weāve been together like peas and carrots. My Dad says, āevery adventure has room for a well- behaved dogā and that is definitely me!
Adventure Dog is a proud name I give myself since my Dad trained me well in most outdoor activities. Dirt roads get me excited because I know they mean thereās an adventure ahead! Iām a master of duck hunting, the best companion for van life as we traveled around, hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing AND I was his co-pilot on adventures in Colorado, Idaho Wyoming and Montana. This one time, we went on a weeklong rafting trip down the Salmon River in Idaho! Not that many humans can say theyāve done that which makes me a really lucky dog! My role in the pack is to make sure everyone is all-good and having fun. Iāve got this ālookā, that peopleās heart melt; if anyone needs comforting, Iāve got it covered.
We moved from the snow to the sand and when I first arrived, I didnāt know what to think about the ocean. It was so big – and the waves! The rivers didnāt have that where I came from so I was suspicious. One day my dad was out in the water. I was lonely so I paddled out for a visit. Then, he put me on his surf board and WOW! That was fun. People on the beach loved it; they took photos and Iām also featured as Mr. August in a calendar.
The extracurricular activities have been non-stop and I have enjoyed every last one. Iām more of a low impact Labrador these days – I move a little slower but my spirit remains strong. I live to see my Dad smile and I will continue to do so until my last doggie breath and even then, Iāll place my paw prints on his heart to have always.
Life in the sand is fun! If you see a white Labrador, sitting on the surf, thatās me! Come say āhelloā anytime and oh, if you can, bring me snacks. I like snacks.
Rest in Peace Eli š¾
