BP Oil Slick vs. South Carolina

After multiple failed attempts at stopping the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, BP is now faced with being responsible for arguably the worst man-made environmental catastrophe our country has ever experienced.  The flow rate is estimated at 200,000 gallons of oil per day and is not expected to stop anytime soon.

As of May 10th, the size of the oil slick has grown significantly.  In order to fully grasp the severity and enormity of the recent BP oil disaster, we think it’s important to put the size of this thing into perspective…
