Well, it’s been a crazy month to say the least. Charleston Waterkeeper has moved out of it’s first office and is on to its second. Located at 125 Cannon Street (the old Earth Force building), our new office is home to The Digitel, Charleston’s newest online source for up to the minute news and headlines.
For some time now, a handful of Charleston’s movers and shakers have been working to establish a co-op work space for organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs. The idea is to have one large office that houses a variety of different groups. This of course is designed to spawn a heightened opportunity for collaboration, creative energy and an endless sharing of skills and information.
The Digitel has finally done it! Earlier this month they opened their headquarters at 125 Cannon street and began seeking out other groups and organizations to fill some empty desks. Needing to upgrade from our “cozy” nook of an office, we immediately jumped on the opportunity to become a part of this great concept. We are now officially moved in and will be getting to work bright and early Sunday morning. Feel free to stop on by to pay us a visit.
Like good hosts, the folks at The Digitel have helped to make us feel incredibly welcome in our new space. They even went as far as making Charleston Waterkeeper their “bronze sponsor” for the week of February 25-March 3 (right next to their “gold sponsor,” Charleston Food and Wine Festival). The Digitel still has one more vacancy to fill before the official office co-op is complete. For more information shoot them an email ([email protected]).
