Charleston Waterkeeper Receives “Best Of Charleston” Recognition
Every year, the Charleston City Paper publishes their “Best of Charleston” edition, a concise compilation of the Lowcountry’s “best” businesses, organizations, events, individuals and ideas. In the weeks leading up to the final tallying, readers are encouraged to submit votes for their opinionated “best [fill in the blank here],” in hopes that their nomination will come out on top.
This year, Charleston Waterkeeper won a Critics’ Pick award. In a three-way tie, we are proud to announce that Charleston Waterkeeper was awarded “Best Example of Quick Motivation to Tackle an Environmental Obstacle.” We are happy to share this title with two other fine and worthy organizations, Save the Angel Oak and Islanders for Responsible Expansion.
A huge THANK YOU to freelancer Stratton Lawrence for the nomination! To read the full article, click here.
