Charleston Waterkeeper at Charleston Race Week

sa-viper-interview

Sailing Anarchy interviews Charleston Waterkeeper during Charleston Race Week.

This weekend, the Charleston Maritime Foundation and Charleston Ocean Racing Association held the 14th annual Charleston Race Week.  With nearly 200 boats participating in 13 different divisions, this 3 day event brought together some of the best sailors from around the world to Charleston’s waterways.  Race Week is an incredible opportunity for our community to show off our hospitality, our amazing City and our beautiful natural resources.  Our waterways, of course, were front and center for everyone to enjoy and appreciate throughout the entire week.

I was lucky enough to be on the water, racing a Viper 640 during the event.  Our good friends at Sailing Anarchy helped to shed light on how truly incredible our waterways are by broadcasting up-to-the-minute updates via interviews, blog posts, videos and pictures.  Thank you to all participants for respecting and enjoying our great harbor and rivers.  We’ll see everyone next year…
