Baking for Water

Students from Winthrop University host a bake sale for Charleston Waterkeeper.

Over the past 18 months so many of you have stepped up to support Charleston Waterkeeper.  From donated boats to retweeted messages, you guys continue to reveal your massive commitment to our organization, our community, and our waterways.

This week, we received something in the mail that reminded us once again how amazing you guys truly are!  The Environmental Action Coalition at Winthrop University recently organized a bake sale to raise funds for Charleston Waterkeeper.  We’ve just received their donation in the mail (which was very, very impressive!!), accompanied by a touching letter from one of the club’s members.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to help out!  We were really glad to be able to raise money for such a great cause.  It’s not a whole lot, but we know every little bit helps, and we’re excited to be able to contribute.  Good luck in your work in keeping Charleston’s water beautiful and healthy!
