For anyone guilty of spending every waking moment in, on, or around our waterways, Costa Del Mar is likely a household name. Besides designing some of the highest quality lenses around, saving our precious eyeballs from dangerous rays, and giving us an advantage when casting into the flats, Costa is also a company devoted to conservation. Their philosophy is a direct reflection of this: “See out there. Be out there. Protect out there.” All of us know that if we want to continue to enjoy the many benefits our natural resources have to offer, we must first and foremost act to assure that these resources are protected. As a result, Costa Del Mar has committed over the years to supporting conservation efforts that protect and preserve our playground.
The way we see it, the best equipment in the world won’t catch a thing if the waters are empty. Every ocean, river, lake and stream is a resource and a responsibility. If we want future generations to feel the snap of a fish on the line, we have to do our part, and do it now.
Clean water is obviously one essential ingredient to a healthy ecosystem, and to a happy water enthusiast! As a result, we’d like to think that we play a role in keeping you guys happy while responsibly enjoying our beautiful natural resources.
This week, our friends at Costa sent us a pair of their latest shades, the Zane, to try out! In good Waterkeeper fashion, we assured them that we’d put them to the test! Just as we thought, the glasses have lived up to their reputation.
For someone who has personally lost 2 pairs of Costas to the deep blue sea, I can say that this pair is great! With temples that hug the sides of your head, these babies aren’t going anywhere. In addition, the silver mirror lenses help cut down on annoying and distracting glare as we’re looking for polluters, discharges, and other suspicious activities.
Thanks again to Costa and to Liza at Full Circle for hooking us up! Keep up the great work!
