July 2023 Keeper’s Report
Welcome to your July 2023 Keeper’s Report!
We head out every Wednesday, rain, shine, wind, in the cold and yes, you guessed it, in the humidity and heat to collect water samples in your entire watershed! No matter what mother nature sends our way, we love this work and we do this important science based water quality testing to keep you and your family safe from harmful bacteria.
Similar to our friendly great egret who represents strength, balance, concentration and longevity, Charleston Waterkeeper collectively with our core team, community scientists, volunteer corps and field investigators are reliable, trustworthy, and always goes above and beyond to get results and drive change.
Enjoy the latest action for clean water in this month’s Keeper’s Report and thank you to the strong community of supporters that allow us to get out there and make an impact.

Every Friday!
That’s right! Every Friday we release the results from water samples taken from 20 hotspots in your favorite creeks. These samples are collected on Wednesday, kept at an optimal temperature, taken directly to the lab and tested. The numbers don’t lie (sadly for some spots) and we will let you know where it is safe to swim, fish, paddle board, sail and enjoy your waters with your family, without fear of pollution.
