It’s hard to believe that it’s officially November as of this weekend, and that the end of the year is already in sight! We’ve loved seeing you out in the community and getting to know so many of you this year showing up for clean water. And we’re not done yet! As we make the most of the rest of 2025 and the start of the holiday season, we hope to see you at these next volunteer opportunities and that you’ll find us at an upcoming event.

Volunteer: Seed Collection with SCDNR 🌾
November 5, 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
Join Charleston Waterkeeper as we team up with DNR SCORE to help collect marsh grass seeds for future plantings!

Volunteer: Trash Picking Tuesday with SCDNR 🚮
November 11, 18, 25 – 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
Volunteers help go through an area of spread recycled oyster shells to pick out debris that got mixed in when it was recycled. The goal is to leave behind just clean oyster shells that will go back on our shoreline for restoration!

Volunteer: Mailing at the CWK Office 📬
November 11 and 12, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Help Charleston Waterkeeper with a big mailing! Volunteers will fold letters, stick on labels, and stuff and stamp envelopes. Join us in the office and a CWK staff member will be present to provide assistance.

Word on the Water: Waterway Stewardship ⛵

For our last speaker session of the year, Tayt Stafford from Coastal Expeditions joins our Harriott Parker to explore the importance of taking an active role in the health of your waterways and the actions we can take as individuals and communities to protect and restore these vital ecosystems. 2025 WaterFest Supporting Charleston Waterkeeper
