We Have our 100th Member!
On September 16, 2008 Charleston Waterkeeper was approved to become the newest member of the Waterkeeper Alliance. Here we are 9 months later, growing stronger and stronger with every passing day!
What is the reason for our continued momentum? That’s simple. It’s you, the community!
For the past 9 months, all of our operations have been supported 100% by membership support. From day one we have invested a large amount of time and energy into building a strong grassroots constituency. Without community support and involvement, we would have never made it this far.
As a way to build a stronger family and a stronger community, Charleston Waterkeeper launched our membership program within the first month of establishment. Our membership slowly grew as knowledge of our efforts spread throughout the region.
This week, we reached a monumental point in our organization; we received our 100th member! Alpha Green Technologies and Courtney Clarkson became the 100th and 101st members of Charelston Waterkeeper (they literally became members at the same time, therefore creating a tie for number 100!). We would like to thank the 106 individuals, businesses and organizations who have become members of Charleston Waterkeeper over the past 9 months. We wouldn’t be anywhere without you guys! Thank you!
